     A First for Iraq and a First for the New Year

            The 2011 Global Junior Circuit takes off in Iraq


      11/23/2010        2011 Iraq Junior & Cadet Open - ITTF Junior Circuit

      Seizing the initiative, innovating new concepts, essential in any walk
of life if success is to follow; sport and of course table tennis is no
exception.

      It is a case of being the first; the first to promote a new idea, the
first to dip your toes into new waters and then swim to new shores; that is
exactly what is happening in Iraq.

      Thanks to the efforts of the Board of the Iraqi Table Tennis
Federation, the country will host an ITTF Junior Circuit tournament in
Kurdish city Erbil city from Wednesday 26th to Saturday 29th January 2011.
Furthermore, there will be an added ingredient; an ITTF Training Camp will
precede the tournament, the camp will held from Sunday 23rd to Tuesday 25th
January 2011.

      It is the first ever ITTF Junior Circuit tournament to be held in
Iraq, the leaders of table tennis in the country have grasped the initiative
and innovated new policies. Therefore it is appropriate the tournament is
the first of the year on the 2011 ITTF Junior Circuit.

      ITTF Global Junior Circuit, 26th 29th January
      The Iraq Junior & Cadet Open will feature singles, double and team
events in the junior and cadet categories.

      ITTF Elite Training Camp, 23rd - 25th January
      A training camp led by the ITTF expert Aleksey Yefremov of Belarus
will be held before the tournament.

      Prize Fund
      The Iraq Table Tennis Association offers a total of US$3,000 in prize
money. No taxes deduction.

      Free hospitality
      The Iraq Table Tennis Association, in its aim to enforce the
participation offers free accommodation for up to three boys and three girls
plus two coaches from each ITTF affiliated association.

      Maximum number of entries
      A maximum of 100 entries are accepted for this tournament.
