2010 Funchal Junior Open - ITTF Junior Circuit

Small in Size but Big in Stature, Funchal Ready and Waiting

Named after the principal city in the beautiful Atlantic island of Madeira
off the west coast of Portugal, the Funchal Junior Open will be staged from
Wednesday 1st to Thursday 2nd September 2010; followed by the 14th Madeira
Open, to be staged from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th September.

Now an established member of the ITTF Junior Circuit, the tournament appears
at what is the traditional start of the European table tennis season, in
many ways for those involved in the continent's club competitions, it a
perfect way to prepare for the coming battles.

Furthermore, Funchal equals excellence; the island of Madeira may be rich in
wild life and magnificent scenery. It is also rich in table tennis with
Marcos Freitas, now an established senior player of note being a product of
the island's well organised coaching and competition scheme.

A small island but big in experience; a well organised competition awaits.
